Immunity Bub Smoothie {gf,v}

Introducing your new best friend... the Immunity Bub! With all that's going on in the world, maintaining a healthy and strong immune system is so important, maybe even more important than usual for some. There's so many ways to keep your immune system running good, but a significant trick is by eating fruits, such as oranges, vegetables, such as spinach, and superfoods, such as turmeric. And guess what- this smoothie has it all! This smoothie has the perfect balance of freshness and sweetness, along with the amazing anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Starting your day with a glass of this is sure to boost your immunity and get your day going on the right foot!


 
 

RECIPE

Prep time: 3 minutes

Blend time: 1 minute

Serving size: 1


INGREDIENTS

1/2 frozen banana

A few frozen mango chunks

1c spinach

1/3 fresh sliced orange

1/2tbs almond butter 1tsp chia seeds

1 date

1/8tsp ground turmeric

1/8tsp ground cinnamon

A few dashes of ground ginger

coconut water or unsweetened almond milk


METHOD

1. Add all ingredients to a blender, and blend until smooth. Add more turmeric or cinnamon if desired, and add in coconut water as needed.
