Orange Creamsicle Protein Smoothie {gf,v}

So, I've been dreaming about this smoothie for so long, and I finally made it happen! This smoothie is probably one of the most refreshing smoothies I've ever had, and it reminds me of the creamsicle twist ice cream I used to get as a kid at the Jersey Shore. It's super fruity, but also has a nice sweetness from the almond butter and vanilla protein. Which reminds me, this is also a perfect meal post-workout because it's packed with protein with Nuzest Clean Lean Vanilla Protein. I love the vanilla flavor this protein adds, and it's made with real, clean ingredients. Often protein powders can make smoothies super thick and heavy, but this smoothie has such a light, refreshing taste to it. This recipe requires all clean ingredients, such as oranges, frozen banana, coconut water, pitted dates, flaxseed meal, and more. With no doubt, this is sure to refresh, boost, energize, and satisfy!

 
 

RECIPE

Prep time: 3 minutes

Serving size: 1


INGREDIENTS

1 orange {1/2 just the juice}

A few chunks frozen mango

1/2 frozen banana

1 pitted date

1 scoop Nuzest Vanilla Protein

2tbs plain nondairy yogurt

1tbs flaxseed meal

1/2tbs almond butter

1c coconut water or coconut milk


METHOD

1. Juice 1/2 the orange into the blender, and then add in the rest of the ingredients.

2. Blend until smooth and add more liquid if necessary
